HELLO

My name is Nathalie. Like many of you, I lead a busy life. I have a family of my own. I’m a wellness advocate, the founder and General Director of a non-profit organization for survivors of assault and abuse.

My Story

In 2002, I had a busy job in the food industry business. I loved the adrenaline rush each day brought, much like the energizer bunny, I never stopped.

Little did I know how quickly things can change. Everything began to spin out of control. I had no energy, I struggled to get out of bed, I was nervous and anxious, decision making was hard, I was having panic attacks, I had trouble sleeping, I no longer wanted to leave my house, the stress of it all was just too much, so I left my job.

Legal Research and Writing

My Doctor prescribed medication which helped, but I still wasn’t myself.

I knew that relying only on medication or adding more medication was not the answer, our world is very fast paced, there had to be something out there to help me get back on track,

One day, while reading an article on food and its impact on our health. The saying “You are what you eat” came to mind. Could focusing on what I ate help me? Because I was determined not to let my illness define who I was, my mission was to learn as much as I could about the possible impacts of food. The more I read a pattern was developing, everyone was saying more or less the same thing, food and beverages can help you stay healthy but certain food and beverages can also stimulate symptoms and illness in your body.

I had nothing to lose, I started to keep a journal tracking everything from what I ate to how I felt each day. In time, I was able to figure out what my food and beverage triggers were.

Gradually, by cutting down or eliminating my triggers, the fog hanging over my head began to lift, my memory and concentration improved, I found myself sleeping better, I had more energy and the panic anxiety attacks were fewer.

The modifications I made to the way I ate was just the beginning. In the process, I also learned about such things as: we are more than just our body. In fact, we are body, mind and spirit.

Through my website, my hope is to inspire you to change the way you live your life, to help you regain your strength and energy by sharing what I have learned and what has helped me along the way while dealing with my own experience with anxiety disorders.

Did the changes I made help, definitely YES, am I cured, NO, it will always be a struggle for me, but I’m healthier and happier and that is what matters.

How exactly did I do it? What is my secret? Well, keep on surfing my website to find out.
